About the role
The NT Fire and Emergency Services is recruiting one Senior Accountant for its Finance work unit in Darwin. The role supports the Assistant Director Accounting and Taxation by delivering quality, client-focused services that help the agency achieve its outcomes, and provides expert accounting advice in line with statutory and accounting standards and the Government regulatory framework.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Assistant Director Accounting and Taxation with strategic, proactive delivery of quality, client-focused services.
- Provide expert accounting advice on a range of matters and services in accordance with relevant statutory and accounting standards and within the Government regulatory framework.
- Train relevant internal stakeholders on financial matters, including governance controls.
Required profile
- Administrative Officer 7 experience level.
