Lead Finance - Manganese Mine, FIFO

About the role

GEMCO, an open-cut manganese mine on Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, is looking for a Lead Finance to oversee its finance function and support operational success, financial discipline and sustainable value creation. The role reports to the Manager Commercial and is permanent, on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Cairns or Darwin.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate budgets, forecasts and strategic financial analysis.
• Provide cost insights and capital investment advice to inform decisions.
• Engage joint venture partners and maintain financial controls and compliance.
• Develop finance team capability and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• At least 10 years' finance experience in large, listed environments, preferably within mining and processing.
• Experience leading and developing professional finance teams in complex operations.
• Experience collaborating across operational, commercial and corporate teams to align financial plans with business goals.
• Finance degree or equivalent; CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent.
