Security Operations Center Analyst (Level 2)

About the role

Baidam Solutions is seeking Level 2 Security Operations Center (SOC) Analysts to join a growing team that protects organisations from cyber threats. The role involves investigating alerts, responding to incidents, and improving detection across a range of security platforms while contributing to a purpose‑driven, socially impactful organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, validate, triage and respond to security alerts in Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike Falcon and other cloud security tools.
• Perform deep technical analysis of complex incidents across endpoint, identity, cloud and network environments.
• Lead or support incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery and post‑incident review.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using telemetry from Sentinel, Defender XDR, CrowdStrike and related technologies.
• Onboard new customers, data sources and security technologies, ensuring data quality and end‑to‑end alerting.
• Develop, test, tune and maintain detection rules, correlation logic, KQL queries, automation workflows and SOAR playbooks.
• Identify gaps in visibility, logging and detection coverage and recommend improvements.
• Produce high‑quality documentation such as incident reports, knowledge articles and SOC playbooks.
