Aquatic Duty Manager – Lead Facility Operations

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Duty Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Dickson Aquatic Centre. You will ensure the highest standards of safety and service while coaching and supporting our lifeguard team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily facility operations with a focus on safety and quality service delivery.
• Lead, mentor and coach lifeguard staff, including covering at least one lifeguard shift per week.
• Manage scheduling, staffing and resource allocation for mornings, evenings and weekend shifts.
• Maintain compliance with OHS, public safety standards and pool operation procedures.
• Interact with patrons of diverse ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Required profile

• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent verbal communication and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certificates.
• National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People clearance.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate and Pool Operations Certificate.
