Security Consultant

About the role

KBR's Infrastructure Solutions business is looking for a Security Consultant in Melbourne. You will help design and deliver security and communications solutions on complex infrastructure projects, working with industry experts from concept design through to construction and commissioning. The role covers Defence, Transport, Maritime, Energy and Water sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Design integrated security systems including CCTV, electronic access control, intrusion detection, perimeter protection and associated ICT infrastructure.
• Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop practical solutions.
• Contribute to technical assurance, compliance and the implementation of industry best practice.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and project partners across Australia.
• Support the growth of KBR's National Security Practice through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
• Degree or formal qualification in Protective Security, Counter Terrorism, Security & Intelligence, Telecommunications Engineering, Security Risk Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years delivering security and communications projects across government, infrastructure or commercial sectors.
• Current NSW Class 2A Security Consultant/Adviser licence or equivalent, or ability to obtain one on commencement.
• Highly regarded: SCEC Endorsed Security Zone Consultant accreditation or ASIS PSP certification.
• Experience in Defence or Commonwealth environments and familiarity with PSPF and ISM frameworks.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of security management systems, access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection and telecommunications networks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
