Security Analyst – Managed Security Services

About the role

We are looking for a Security Analyst to join our Managed Security Services team in Melbourne. You will support a portfolio of enterprise customers, handling security monitoring, incident investigation, detection improvement and threat hunting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts across enterprise environments using SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk.
• Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, escalation and communication of findings.
• Work with technologies including Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike and Cortex XDR to tune detections and reduce false positives.
• Participate in threat hunting based on intelligence, customer concerns or identified indicators.
• Identify gaps in logging, detections and security visibility and assist with vulnerability management.

Required profile

• Practical experience in a SOC, MSSP, MDR or similar security operations environment.
• Hands‑on experience investigating security alerts and incidents.
• Understanding of common attacker behaviours, MITRE ATT&CK framework and incident response methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business risk.

• Microsoft Sentinel or comparable SIEM platform.

• Azure and Entra ID (or broader cloud security environments).
• Tenable or Qualys vulnerability management platforms (advantageous).
