Security Analyst

About the role

This is a permanent, hybrid position with a top financial services firm in Melbourne CBD. You will join a high‑calibre internal security team, supporting day‑to‑day operations and responding to real security incidents across cloud, network and endpoint environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support security operations for cloud (Azure), network, endpoint, email and broader security platforms.
• Improve visibility, resilience and response capability through Azure security and internal controls.
• Investigate, contain, escalate and remediate real security incidents.
• Partner with technology teams and external providers to enhance processes and tooling.
• Identify gaps and drive practical security improvements.
• Work with tools such as CrowdStrike, Varonis, Palo Alto and Proofpoint.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience in cyber security, security operations or related roles.
• Strong generalist background covering incidents, tooling, networking and cloud security.
• Proven incident‑response experience handling real incidents.
• Australian or New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship.
