Senior Security Consultant

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Security Consultant to join its nationally connected team in Melbourne. You will work with clients across Defence, Aviation, Transport, Critical Infrastructure and Data Centres to design and deliver security solutions that protect Australia’s most important assets.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to security consulting and advisory projects across multiple sectors.
• Conduct security risk, threat and vulnerability assessments.
• Develop security strategies, plans and technical specifications.
• Design physical security systems, including access control, CCTV and intrusion detection.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, defence and infrastructure teams.
• Support compliance with security regulations and standards.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and prepare technical reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security consulting, protective security, defence, law enforcement or critical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of physical security principles and risk‑based design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Australian citizenship preferred and ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance.
