About the role
This permanent full‑time position provides high‑level administrative and secretarial support to the Director and medical team within the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department at Campbelltown Hospital. You will ensure smooth operation of clinical, managerial, academic and research activities by managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and preparing accurate correspondence.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and organise the Director’s and senior clinicians’ diaries, scheduling appointments and meetings.
- Coordinate departmental meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and distribute documentation.
- Draft, proof‑read and format letters, reports, and other correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.
- Support clinical and research staff with document preparation, record keeping and data entry.
- Liaise with junior and senior medical staff, patients and external stakeholders to facilitate workflow.
Required profile
- Proven experience in high‑volume administrative or secretarial roles, preferably in a hospital environment.
- Strong understanding of medical workforce structures and terminology.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficiency with email, databases and internet applications.
- High typing accuracy and dictaphone transcription capability.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
