About the role
The Secretariat Services Officer will provide high‑quality secretariat support to program and project boards and committees within Queensland Health. This role ensures that governance processes are streamlined, documentation is accurate, and senior stakeholders receive clear guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and disseminate submissions, briefing papers, minutes, actions and decisions for boards and committees.
- Guide senior management and stakeholders on meeting and governance parameters, outcomes and decisions.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Queensland Health senior management and support staff.
- Analyse and improve secretariat policies, procedures and templates, working with the Delivery Support Services Secretariat team.
- Apply appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools in line with Queensland Health policy.
- Assist with the compilation of project management reports and perform general administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a diplomatic approach.
- Ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior and executive levels.
- Advanced time‑management and work‑prioritisation abilities.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodology and gateway assurance (highly regarded).
- Previous executive support experience to senior management (highly regarded).
- Experience in government or health sectors (highly regarded).
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
