Secondary English Teacher (Year 7-12)

About the role

Matrix Education is hiring English teachers for its Bella Vista campus. You will teach your regular classes each week with minimal preparation, as lessons and resources are prepared for you. Classes run after school on weekdays and on weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Teach regular weekly classes throughout the academic term.
• Monitor students' academic progress by marking weekly essay submissions.
• Flag struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.

Required profile

• A genuine passion for teaching.
• Previous experience teaching secondary English in a classroom setting.
• Extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in Stage 4, 5 and 6 English.
• Degree in Education, Arts, Philosophy or a related discipline; postgraduate study in these fields is highly regarded.
• Ideal candidates include current NESA-accredited teachers, experienced professionals or postgraduate students (MTeach, MD or PhDc).
