Search Engine Optimization Executive

About the role

Covert, a performance agency in Sydney, is launching the next version of its ICAROS platform and needs an SEO Executive to drive client results. You will own the SEO strategy for a portfolio of B2B and B2C accounts, working closely with paid media, content and development teams to deliver integrated, performance‑focused campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the ICAROS V3 product launch as the SEO product owner.
• Develop and execute SEO strategies across multiple client sites, covering technical, on‑page and off‑page tactics.
• Perform technical audits, keyword research and content‑gap analyses.
• Translate performance data into actionable business insights and present regular reports to clients.
• Collaborate with paid media, content and development teams to ensure SEO is central to all campaigns.
• Identify growth opportunities through competitor research and audience insights.
• Stay current with algorithm updates, industry trends and emerging SEO best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably agency‑side.
• Strong technical SEO knowledge (crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema).
• Commercial mindset focused on revenue impact rather than just rankings.
• Clear communicator able to simplify complex data for clients.
• Self‑directed, organized and capable of managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Enthusiastic about leveraging AI to improve efficiency.
