Search Engine Optimisation Specialist

About the role

TAG is looking for a curious and driven SEO Specialist to join its Melbourne team. You will work alongside senior specialists to deliver measurable organic growth for a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from retail and eCommerce to SaaS and health.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical SEO audits and implement fixes for discoverability, site speed, structured data, and indexation.
• Develop and execute on‑page strategies, including keyword mapping, meta optimisation, and internal linking.
• Brief and review content with the production team to ensure it is search‑informed and conversion‑focused.
• Act as the trusted SEO contact for clients, providing proactive communication and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with web development, CRO, paid search, content, and data specialists across TAG.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably in an agency or client‑facing environment.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, on‑page optimisation, and content strategy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate data into plain‑English insights.
• Curiosity about emerging search trends such as AI search, GEO, and answer‑engine optimisation.
• Organised, collaborative, and able to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
