School Registered Nurse

About the role

The School Registered Nurse will be the primary health contact for Pembroke School’s Junior School, delivering high‑quality first aid and medical care to students and staff while supporting overall wellbeing. The role also includes occasional front‑office duties to help the school run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑aid treatment and manage medical emergencies in line with school policy.
• Develop and coordinate student medical management plans with parents/guardians.
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
• Manage and stock medical equipment and supplies, including preparation for camps and trips.
• Offer front‑office administrative support during term time as needed.
• Liaise with the Dean of Student Wellbeing, Sub‑School leaders, Heads of House and Year Level Coordinators to identify and address student wellbeing needs.
• Report relevant medical and wellbeing concerns promptly to staff and families.

Required profile

• Tertiary nursing qualification and full registration with AHPRA.
• Minimum five years post‑registration clinical experience, preferably in general practice, paediatrics or emergency care.
• Experience supporting young people in educational, residential or community settings.
• Current Working with Children Check (South Australia) and up‑to‑date First Aid/CPR certification.
• Completion of Plink RRHAN‑EC training (Masterclass and Fundamentals, including Protective Practices).
• High level of discretion, sound judgement and professionalism in handling confidential matters.

What we offer

• Level 6 position with a salary range of $104,181 – $109,112 per annum.
