Sales Strategy & Performance Manager

About the role

The Sales Strategy & Performance Manager will lead the strategic direction, operational performance and development of Honeycombes' Agricultural Sales team, driving growth and customer experience across North Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and foster a high‑performance, team‑focused sales culture.
• Set performance expectations, KPIs and individual sales targets with Branch Managers.
• Coach and develop sales personnel in technical capability, sales techniques and customer engagement.
• Develop strategies to improve gross margin, conversion rates, market share and customer satisfaction.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer data to identify commercial opportunities.
• Oversee whole‑goods inventory planning, stock quality and aged‑stock reduction.
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts and market insights to senior management.
• Travel regularly across branches to maintain relationships and promote consistent performance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in agricultural machinery sales, sales leadership or senior commercial roles.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team‑development capabilities.
• Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
• Commercial judgement with understanding of gross margin, inventory turnover and customer retention.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the branch network.

Required skills

• Experience with John Deere products, systems and dealership operations.
• Proficiency in interpreting sales, market and inventory data.
• Ability to utilise complex dealer business systems and CRM tools.
