Sales Representative - Flooring Business

About the role

A relationship-based flooring business on the Sunshine Coast and surrounds is looking for a Sales Representative. The role reports directly to the State Sales Manager and focuses on establishing, coordinating and implementing strategic sales plans to meet set sales and margin targets. Staff are given full autonomy and support to grow their area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual sales plans to achieve and exceed budgets
• Negotiate pricing structures and analyse performance by store, category and channel
• Grow the customer base through trade shows, flooring expos, lead follow-up and cold calling
• Build strong customer relationships and support account management
• Train retail staff and give technical advice, including site visits
• Deliver sales forecasts, market share reports and market trend insights

Required profile

• Proven sales track record with strong commercial acumen
• Consumer goods / FMCG sales experience delivering sales and margin targets
• Experience managing pricing, rebate deals and product ranges
• Resilient, action-oriented and customer-focused approach
• Experience outside the industry is welcome; building or floor covering sales experience is highly regarded

Required skills

• Strong presentation, sales analysis and report writing skills
• Current driver's licence
• Basic Excel / Office knowledge
