Safety Coordinator for Renewable Energy Transmission Project

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to provide hands‑on HSE support for the Central‑West Orana Renewable Energy Zone transmission project. You will be a visible presence on‑site, embedding safe ways of working and supporting the team when it matters most.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate HSE requirements on site.
• Assist in monitoring day‑to‑day site activities to ensure safety compliance.
• Report key issues to the Site Safety Manager.
• Assist with incident investigations and reporting.
• Support site consultations such as toolbox talks and daily pre‑start briefings.
• Participate in WHS audits.
• Promote a positive work health and safety culture by leading by example.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience on large‑scale construction projects, preferably renewable energy or high‑risk workplaces.
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum requirement).
• Safety Lead Auditor qualification (desirable).
• Willingness to work a 14‑days‑on/7‑days‑off roster with camp‑style accommodation.
