Rooms Division Manager

About the role

The Rooms Division Manager leads the end‑to‑end rooms operation at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach, overseeing Front Office, Guest Experience, Concierge, Housekeeping and Night operations. This senior leader ensures luxury service, room quality and operational excellence across the guest journey.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Rooms Division to deliver personalised luxury service, quality and consistency throughout every stage of the guest journey.
• Provide clear, collaborative leadership across all rooms departments, creating one cohesive operation.
• Own and develop the hotel's Rooms Quality Program, including inspections, audits and improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a visible presence, overseeing VIP arrivals, special requests and complex guest situations.
• Champion Sofitel brand standards, guest recognition, personalisation and effective service recovery.
• Develop training strategies, coaching leaders and staff to build high‑performing teams.
• Manage external contractors and outsourced partners to ensure consistent luxury, safety and service standards.
• Analyse guest sentiment, quality results and KPIs to drive measurable improvements.
• Control payroll, productivity, departmental expenditure and budget performance while protecting the guest experience.
• Build succession capability and a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience within Rooms Division in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong operational experience across Front Office with solid knowledge of Housekeeping.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain quality standards, audit programs and corrective‑action processes.
• Passion for luxury hospitality and creating personalised guest moments.
• Commercial acumen in payroll, budgeting, forecasting and performance indicators.
• Analytical and reporting skills to turn guest feedback into actionable improvements.
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills to influence across departments.
