Roadside Mechanic – Patrol Assistance (Victoria)

About the role

Join Nationwide Group as a Roadside Mechanic delivering patrol roadside assistance across Victoria. You will be the first point of contact for stranded motorists, providing fast, reliable help while representing the leading auto club in the state.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose common vehicle issues such as flat batteries, flat tyres, overheating and engine faults.
• Perform on‑site fixes including jump‑starting batteries, tyre changes, lock‑out assistance, fluid top‑ups and temporary part repairs.
• Communicate clearly with customers, reassure them and keep them informed throughout the service.
• Use diagnostic tools to assess modern vehicle systems.
• Maintain and stock the service vehicle with required tools and replacement parts.

Required profile

• Qualified Motor Mechanic or Automotive Electrician credentials.
• C Class (or higher) driver’s licence.
• Proven experience working as an automotive mechanic.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Willingness to obtain and operate under an ABN and ACN.
