Roads and Drainage Worker

About the role

The Roads and Drainage Worker joins the Transport Maintenance Services team to keep the Gold Coast’s roads, footpaths and stormwater networks safe and functional. You will carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance, support capital projects and contribute to ongoing improvements across the city’s public infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform skilled tasks related to the upkeep of roads, footpaths and drainage systems.
• Operate minor equipment and machinery required for maintenance works.
• Manage work orders in SAP using a mobile device (iPad).
• Provide excellent customer service and control public access at worksites.
• Complete required organisational forms and documentation.

Required profile

• Valid MR Class Driver’s Licence (mandatory).
• General Construction Induction Card (White) (mandatory).
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to work cooperatively in a team.
• Good physical health to meet the physically demanding duties.
• Effective numeracy and literacy skills appropriate to the role.
• Experience in maintenance and/or construction operations.
