Rigger – Heavy Lifting Specialist for Infrastructure Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Rigger to join the Alkimos Desalination Plant project in Perth. You will be responsible for planning and executing lifts of plant equipment and materials, ensuring safety and precision on a flagship infrastructure site.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out lifts using cranes, EWPs and other lifting equipment.
• Set slings and rigging gear, direct crane operators, and inspect equipment before each lift.
• Collaborate with crane operators, boilermakers, and site supervisors to keep lifts on schedule and to specification.
• Maintain accurate lifting plans and load calculations for each operation.

Required profile

• Valid rigging licence – minimum Intermediate Rigging (CW4).
• Dogging ticket (highly regarded).
• Strong understanding of lifting plans, load calculations and rigging equipment.
• Safety‑first attitude with proven experience on large infrastructure or industrial projects.
