Retail Store Manager – Canberra

About the role

Sephora is seeking a dynamic retail leader to manage its Canberra store. You will embody the Sephora DNA, delivering a curated prestige beauty experience while driving sales performance and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a role model, showcasing the Sephora experience to customers.
• Drive a selling culture to exceed KPIs and raise team performance through coaching.
• Interpret reporting data and support operational decisions with the Store Manager and senior advisors.
• Facilitate open communication, provide feedback, and maintain consistent dialogue with management.
• Serve as Manager in Charge (MIC) for client and cast member matters, making confident store decisions.
• Oversee all categories – beauty, skincare, haircare, wellness – and store functions including sales, back‑of‑house operations, and visual merchandising.

Required profile

• Willingness to work a 38‑hour rotating roster, including late‑night, weekend and public holiday shifts.
• Previous retail management experience covering profit & loss, sales forecasting, people management, training, stock control and visual merchandising.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Availability for 5 full days during peak trading times (Thursday‑Sunday).
• Passion for excellent client service, experiential retail and fostering a positive team culture.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and KPIs.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for data entry and reporting.
