Senior Solutions Engineer – APAC

About the role

Qdrant is an open‑source vector search engine powering next‑generation AI applications. As we expand across Asia‑Pacific, we need a Senior Solutions Engineer to act as the technical authority for enterprise deals and guide customers in building AI infrastructure for the next decade. This role goes beyond typical demo cycles, involving end‑to‑end architecture and production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy in enterprise deals from the first call through production deployment, partnering with Account Executives.
• Act as a Technical Account Manager for a small portfolio of existing enterprise customers, identifying new use cases and expansion opportunities.
• Design vector search architectures for high‑scale workloads, including multi‑tenant agentic systems and low‑latency retrieval at billion‑vector scale.
• Build proof‑of‑concept systems that customers can take to production, showcasing Qdrant’s performance advantages.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on AI infrastructure decisions, helping customers migrate from legacy databases and deploy across cloud, on‑prem, or air‑gapped environments.
• Contribute to the field engineering knowledge base with reference architectures, technical guides, and reusable POC frameworks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of pre‑sales or solutions engineering experience, preferably with a background in data infrastructure or systems architecture.
• Hands‑on experience designing or operating distributed systems, search infrastructure, or data pipelines at production scale.
• Familiarity with retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and the broader modern AI stack (LLMs, embedding models, agentic frameworks).
• Knowledge of structured sales qualification frameworks such as MEDDICC/MEDDPICC and ability to link technical decisions to business outcomes.
• Strong communicator able to discuss deep technical trade‑offs with engineers and explain ROI to senior business leaders.
