Retail Sales Travel Consultant - Townsville

About the role

Flight Centre is hiring full-time, on-site Retail Sales Travel Consultants in Townsville and surrounding suburbs. You will work in a retail store on a rotating roster across a 7-day trade, turning your love of travel into a career.

Key responsibilities

• Plan itineraries, book travel and convert enquiries into bookings in person, by phone and by email
• Sell the whole holiday, including flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, travel insurance, cruises and transfers
• Meet individual KPIs and sales targets
• Build a customer base of new and returning customers
• Advise customers on travel-related questions such as visas, best time to travel, packing and local food

Required profile

• Genuine passion for travel and a desire to help customers explore the world
• Determination to meet sales targets and KPIs in a busy, high-pressure environment
• Great organisational skills, with good note-taking, calendar management and responsiveness to calls and emails
• Warmth and enthusiasm that makes customers want to book again

Required skills

• Savviness with computers, able to switch between several complex booking systems
• Ability to find the right flight and package options for customers
