Retail Sales Manager

About the role

Elders is looking for a Retail Sales Manager to join its team in Maitland on a permanent, full-time basis. As an Elders Retail Sales Manager, you will use your product knowledge and customer service skills to build and maintain strong client relationships and find new opportunities for them. You are also expected to be a strong leader with demonstrated people management and merchandise operational skills.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage merchandise business plans and budgets
• Lead a merchandise sales team
• Meet key performance indicators and expenditure targets
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, recommending the Elders range of products and services that will strengthen their business
• Proactively source new business to achieve KPIs and targets

Required profile

• Comfortable and thriving in a collaborative working environment
• Passionate about making a real difference for clients and the community
• Extensive sales experience and a successful sales record in a rural products business
• Commitment to high-quality customer service
• Ability to cultivate relationships with current and future clients

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of agriculture products, the region and competitors
• People management and merchandise operational skills
