Business Development Executive (Corporate Sales)

About the role

Punthill Maitland, a 76-apartment hotel in the centre of Maitland, is looking for a Business Development Executive to drive direct corporate sales (B2B) and grow its corporate account business. The role works closely with the Hotel Manager to turn the hotel into a preferred venue for corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and secure growth opportunities for corporate accounts (B2B)
• Navigate and secure opportunities linked to major projects and institutions
• Cold call, knock on doors, generate new leads and build a strong corporate pipeline
• Increase brand awareness by strengthening existing relationships and building new ones
• Conduct site inspections, client visits, attend industry events and work in a team-oriented way
• Develop and implement sales plans and a targeted approach to exceed targets

Required profile

• Approved Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or a visa with approved working rights)
• Demonstrated experience in B2B sales
• Experience managing people in a customer service environment
• Ability to resolve problems or complaints and to make strategically aligned business decisions
• Adaptable, with an ownership mindset and a passion for personal growth
