Retail Manager

About the role

The Retail Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of a busy store in Dubbo, NSW. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, driving sales performance and ensuring compliance with health‑and‑safety standards. This full‑time, on‑site position requires a hands‑on approach to staff supervision, inventory control and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is clean, safe and well‑presented.
• Supervise, coach and schedule a team of retail staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Monitor sales metrics, analyse data and implement actions to meet or exceed targets.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct stock takes and coordinate replenishment.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and escalations promptly and professionally.
• Execute merchandising plans, promotional activities and visual standards.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, health‑and‑safety regulations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles, with solid knowledge of store operations, merchandising and inventory control.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse customers and team members.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and use performance data to drive results.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Dubbo, NSW.
• Relevant vocational training or qualifications in retail, business or management is advantageous.
