Retail Assistant and Inventory Performance Coordinator

About the role

Dahlsens Family Group of Companies, which supplies builders with hardware, windows, roofing, kitchens, bathrooms and cabinetry, is hiring a full-time Retail Assistant and Inventory Performance Coordinator (IPC) at its busy Broome store. It is a hands-on, all-rounder role mixing customer support, product knowledge, merchandising and stock control, with the ability to work every second Saturday morning.

Key responsibilities

• Help customers with sales, orders and quotes, plus general enquiries
• Keep stock flowing and the team ready for good customer service
• Follow processes to reduce out-of-stocks and over-stocks in the branch
• Support the Purchasing and Marketing teams with planning and promotions
• Build product knowledge through regular training with leading brands

Required profile

• Friendly, motivated person who enjoys helping customers and working in a team
• Experience in hardware or the building industry is a bonus; attitude and willingness to learn are key
• Ability to work every second Saturday morning
• Right to work in Australia; references, background check, pre-employment medical assessment and police and right-to-work checks apply

Required skills

• Good customer service and organisation skills, able to juggle competing priorities
• Confident with computers and software
• Physical fitness and ability to safely lift and handle goods
• Current manual driver's licence
