Restaurant Manager

About the role

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on Cable Beach in Broome, far northwestern Australia, and offers 225 rooms, 4 restaurants, poolside bars, a tour desk, a resort shop and a day spa. It is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager who will have a highly visible presence and a hands-on approach during service periods.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staff so that restaurant service levels stay consistent and at the highest possible standard
• Provide ongoing training and mentoring of staff
• Drive revenue by ensuring maximum covers per service period
• Prepare rosters and approve timesheets in line with resort processes
• Handle stock rotation and ordering, including a monthly stocktake
• Monitor the restaurant budget and complete detailed reporting on it
• Work closely with the kitchen and other resort departments
• Keep the restaurant and staff up to resort standards and promptly address customer concerns

Required profile

• Experience at restaurant management level in a high-end full-service restaurant
• Previous experience with European cuisine is a distinct advantage
• History of training and mentoring staff that improved customer satisfaction
• History of working within budgeted guidelines
• Current WA liquor licence, or ability to obtain one
• Formal qualifications in hospitality management or similar
