Residential Estimator

About the role

The successful candidate will join a well‑established South Australian residential builder and take ownership of estimating across a variety of home construction projects. This hands‑on position involves pricing from concept design through to construction, working closely with leadership, construction teams and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates, take‑offs, BOQs and cost plans for residential projects.
• Price residential construction, earthworks, site and civil works from initial concepts to tender.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings, develop scopes of work and trade packages.
• Obtain, assess and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Manage tender processes, identify cost risks and opportunities for value management.
• Maintain accurate project cost information and support handover to construction teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential estimating.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials and trade packages.
• Proven ability to complete detailed take‑offs, BOQs and cost plans.
• Established relationships with residential trades, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
