Research Development Manager

About the role

This inaugural position will shape the future of health research across Central Queensland by establishing the CQHHS Office for Research from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement research systems, governance frameworks, capability programs and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure all research activities comply with legislative, regulatory and ethical standards.
• Provide guidance on proposals, protocols, grants and clinical trial governance.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build new functions and foster a positive research culture.
• Strong understanding of Australian human research legislation and ethics requirements.
• Strategic connector who can advise senior leaders and develop collaborations with universities, industry and research organisations.

Required skills

• Experience with research governance, compliance and HREC processes.
• Knowledge of clinical trial governance and funding pathways.
• Ability to support researchers with proposals, protocols and grant applications.

• Total remuneration up to $176,711 per annum, based on an hourly rate of $72.78‑$78.11.
