Reporter – Broome

About the role

Seven West Media is hiring a reporter based in its Broome office. The role suits a graduate eager to start a career in Western Australia or an experienced reporter looking for a new challenge. You will help deliver local news, sport and photography to the audience across print and online platforms, in a fast-paced, collaborative newsroom.

Key responsibilities

• Write and gather fresh, original news stories for print and digital publication.
• Build positive relationships with key people and organisations.
• Break news stories and create engaging content.
• Contribute to news planning meetings and work closely with the Northern Papers Editor.
• Interview and photograph subjects with confidence and professionalism.
• Represent the company in a positive, professional manner.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in local news, sport and photography.
• Familiarity with digital platforms and social media.
• A strong team player eager to learn and collaborate.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Valid Australian work rights.
