Remote Automotive Diagnostic Technician

About the role

AirPro Diagnostics Australia, a division of ADAS Solutions, provides remote automotive diagnostics, programming and ADAS calibration support to repairers nationwide. It is looking for a Remote Diagnostic Technician who is meticulous, inquisitive and pays close attention to detail, because the work involves potentially life-saving systems that must be repaired and calibrated accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret repair procedures and follow them to a successful outcome
• Document work carried out comprehensively
• Carry out required tasks with high accuracy
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Maintain workspace and company equipment to high standards
• Report to all levels comfortably and confidently, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
• Work well both independently and in a team

Required profile

• Fully qualified automotive technician
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in automotive repairs
• At least 2+ years as a diagnostic or master technician
• Current, clean, full driving licence (manual and automatic)
• OEM training and dealer-level experience highly regarded

Required skills

• Strong automotive technical background, especially high-tech body and chassis electronics such as ADAS, ABS, Body Control, SRS and EPS
• Sound understanding of vehicle diagnostic platforms and software, and competence using multiple platforms
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Computer literacy and ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical data
• Ability to report findings clearly and accurately
