Rehabilitation Consultant - Occupational Therapist

About the role

IPAR, a national occupational rehabilitation provider within the MedHealth network, is looking for an Occupational Therapist in Hobart. The role suits an OT who enjoys applying clinical reasoning to real-world functional outcomes, especially in the home and community, and aims to support sustainable return to work.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive ADL and functional assessments of personal care, domestic tasks and community participation.
• Recommend assistive technology, home modifications and support services to improve independence and safety.
• Develop grading programs to promote independence.
• Write clear, evidence-based reports with strong clinical justification.
• Manage a structured caseload, supported by Rehabilitation Assistants.
• Liaise with employers, insurers, medical professionals and other stakeholders on holistic rehabilitation plans.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Full AHPRA registration or eligibility to obtain it after graduation.
• Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded.
• Compassion, kindness and empathy.
• Current driver's licence and access to a car with comprehensive insurance.
