Rehabilitation Consultant (Counsellor / Psychologist)

About the role

Acumen Health, part of the APM Group, is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant to support clients who have suffered physical or psychological injuries at work. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering occupational rehabilitation across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Apply clinical reasoning to assess and support injured employees.
• Conduct vocational, transferable‑skills, job‑preparation and worksite assessments.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical specialists and allied health professionals.
• Develop, implement and monitor individual rehabilitation plans through case management.
• Provide guidance to help clients return to their current role or transition to new employment.

Required profile

• Current unrestricted (or eligible) registration or membership with AHPRA, ASORC or equivalent.
• Tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology (fully registered or provisional psychologists with supervision considered).
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
• Passion for helping people rehabilitate; occupational rehabilitation experience is highly desirable.
