About the role

The Royal Children’s Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgical and Neuro Care Ward (Cockatoo Ward). You will deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care to critically ill paediatric patients, supporting optimal health outcomes in a high‑performing, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, safe nursing care consistent with RCH and NMBA standards.
• Conduct systematic nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Ability to work flexibly across part‑time and full‑time rosters.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
