Registered Nurse – Specialty Pharma (Part‑time, Sydney)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Specialty Pharma Registered Nurse to deliver and monitor injectable or oral pharmacological treatments for patients in home and clinic settings in Sydney. Working under the Specialty Pharma Supervisor/Manager, you will ensure safe administration, observe patients for reactions, and document all activities promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review individualized nursing care plans for each patient.
• Conduct health assessments and provide medication‑administration teaching.
• Obtain venous access via peripheral IV or central lines (PICC, IVAD).
• Prepare and administer specialized intravenous or injectable therapies.
• Monitor patients for infusion‑related reactions and intervene as required.
• Document patient conditions, adverse events and submit pharmacovigilance reports.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, provincial standards and ongoing training requirements.

Required profile

• BSN degree or equivalent from an accredited nursing program.
• Current registration in good standing with the provincial nursing regulatory body.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification required for clinic work (or obtainable within 3 months).
• Experience in acute care, specialty pharmaceutical administration, or infusion services; home‑care experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy/biotherapy is a plus.
