Registered Nurse – Primary Health Clinic

About the role

Join ATSICHS Brisbane as a Registered Nurse in our Primary Health Clinic, delivering culturally safe care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Logan area. You will work closely with clinicians and health workers to ensure efficient client assessment, continuity of care, and robust care plans.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing practice within an Aboriginal primary health care model.
• Assist the primary health care team, plan workload and achieve results.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organisations, hospitals and other stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, integrating culturally safe practices.
• Implement and maintain ATSICHS policies in line with AGPAL accreditation standards.
• Conduct client follow‑up, recalls and maintain accurate care plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher.
• Full unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Minimum three years of nursing experience, preferably in primary health care.
• Ability to support continuous improvement models and work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of culturally safe practices and sensitivity to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive communication skills.
