Registered Nurse – Paediatric Transition Program

About the role

Join the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network as a Registered Nurse and support children and families across our Westmead and Randwick campuses. This position is part of a six‑month Transition to Paediatric Nursing (TPN) program designed for nurses moving into paediatric care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high‑quality, family‑centred nursing care to children and young people in acute hospital settings.
• Participate in the TPN program’s self‑directed learning, study days and mentorship activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies.

Required profile

• Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Recent acute nursing experience in a hospital environment.
• Ability to work a rotating seven‑day roster, including public holidays.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Required skills

• Computer literacy for clinical systems.
