Registered Nurse – Occupational Health (FIFO Mine Site)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our FIFO mine site operations. The role focuses on protecting the health of employees and contractors by delivering professional medical services, health promotion and proactive injury management. The nurse is on‑call 24 hours a day to respond to emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of safety and emergency response equipment according to established checklists.
• Serve as the First Responder for injury and incident management, including after‑hours on‑call support.
• Maintain the site’s First Aid rooms and ambulances in a state of readiness.
• Develop, implement and uphold safe work procedures while fostering a culture of safety awareness.
• Create and maintain procedures to ensure environmentally sustainable operations.
• Communicate changes in systems, processes and procedures clearly to all team members.
• Perform regular inspections of work areas and equipment to ensure safe operational practices.
• Participate in and facilitate incident investigations and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current registration with AHPRA or Enrolled Nurse qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of mine‑site nursing experience and ability to fly out of Perth, WA.
• Ability to collect specimens for drug‑of‑abuse testing.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• C‑class driver’s licence.
• Advanced Life Support Level 1 and 2 (desirable).
• Understanding of workplace injury management.
