Registered Nurse - Night Shift (Part Time)

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is recruiting a part-time Registered Nurse to work Friday and Saturday nights at Elizabeth Lodge. You will provide safe, compassionate clinical care for residents with diverse and complex needs, working closely with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team to spot changes early and support each resident's quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop, implement and review individual care plans
• Administer medications and keep accurate clinical documentation
• Recognise and escalate resident deterioration, incidents and near misses
• Apply infection prevention and control practices, including outbreak precautions
• Support care team members in delivering safe, person-centred care

Required profile

• Availability to work Friday and Saturday nights
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRAB
• Bachelor of Nursing or an equivalent recognised qualification
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Casual availability: flexible across shifts and able to help at short notice when needed

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of nursing principles, safe resident care and clinical escalation
• Preferred: current first aid certification
• Preferred: understanding of changes in resident condition (reduced oral intake, dehydration, weight loss, confusion or delirium, falls risk, reduced mobility, skin concerns, pressure injury risk) and the National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program
