Registered Nurse – Haematology

About the role

The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its 24‑bed, high‑acuity haematology unit (7 West 1). You will provide patient‑centred, evidence‑based nursing care to individuals undergoing stem cell transplants, CAR‑T cell therapy and intensive chemotherapy.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver advanced nursing interventions for complex haematologic conditions.
• Monitor patients receiving stem cell transplants and CAR‑T therapy, recognising and responding to complications.
• Document care accurately and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
• Support patients and families throughout the treatment journey with compassionate communication.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Recent acute hospital nursing experience and Australian working rights.
• Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in oncology, critical care or related specialty units is preferred.
