Registered Nurse – General Practice

About the role

Doctors and Co. is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join the Carnes Hill Doctors team. You will work alongside physicians and support staff to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centred care in a busy general practice environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take vital signs, record health histories and document patient encounters.
• Administer medications, immunisations and other injections.
• Perform triage, wound management, chronic disease monitoring and ECGs.
• Explain procedures, provide education and reassurance to patients.
• Assist with care plans, shared health summaries and telehealth consultations.
• Support doctors during clinical procedures and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Manage treatment‑room logistics: stock control, instrument sterilisation, equipment upkeep and infection‑control practices.
• Undertake reception and practice‑management duties as needed.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration and Working with Children clearance.
• Valid police check, First Aid/CPR certification and immunisation record.
• Experience in an accredited General Practice setting.
• Strong communication, teamwork and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Professional, compassionate and urgent approach to patient care.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Best Practice clinical software.
• Competence in performing ECGs.
