Registered Nurse (Full-time Casual)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Mittagong Doctors team on a full‑time casual basis. You will work closely with physicians and practice staff to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centred care in a busy general practice environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take vital signs, record health histories and document patient encounters.
• Administer medications, immunisations and other injections.
• Perform triage, wound management, chronic disease management and ECGs.
• Explain procedures, provide support and reassurance to patients.
• Assist with care plans, shared health summaries and telehealth consultations.
• Support doctors during clinical procedures and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Manage treatment‑room logistics including stock control, sterilisation and equipment maintenance.
• Implement infection‑control practices and assist with reception and practice‑management duties.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration and Working with Children clearance.
• Current Police Check and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Experience working in an accredited General Practice setting.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, compassionate approach.
• Ability to multitask, solve problems and manage time effectively.

• Proficiency with Best Practice practice‑management software.
• Competence in performing ECGs.
• Immunisation administration.
• Triage assessment.
• Wound management techniques.
• Chronic disease management.
