Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse – General Practice

About the role

City Heart Medical, a long-established medical practice serving the Rockhampton community, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse for a stable, permanent position. The role offers predictable weekday hours, a Monday-to-Friday roster with flexible options, and a supportive team of nurses and GPs. Pay is $37 to $45 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver general practice nursing care alongside doctors, nurses and the administration team
• Administer immunisations (childhood, travel, employment and COVID)
• Triage patients and carry out clinical assessments
• Manage wounds and change dressings
• Carry out infection prevention and control and sterilisation processes
• Perform general treatment room nursing duties
• Assist with employment and aviation medical assessments
• Manage cold chain and support chronic disease management activities and health assessments

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an RN or EN
• Current CPR certification and current COVID-19 vaccination status in line with healthcare requirements
• Experience in a clinical nursing environment
• Full Australian working rights
• Excellent communication and patient care skills, strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Highly regarded: previous general practice experience, immunisation and treatment room experience, exposure to chronic disease management, and experience with Best Practice software
