Registered Nurse - Emergency / Rural Nursing (Contract)

About the role

MARS Recruitment is offering a contract position for an experienced Registered Nurse in Central Queensland, described as a rural nursing role open to nurses with limited emergency department experience. The advertised location is Theodore.

Key responsibilities

• Provide rural nursing care matched to your experience.
• Support emergency assessment, resuscitation and IV care within scope.
• Contribute to coordinated care across the service.

Required profile

• Emergency and rural nursing exposure, including resuscitation and IV cannulation.
• Limited ED experience may be accepted without ALS or triage.
• Aged Care Check mandatory.
• Current AHPRA registration and Australian work rights, with required placement compliance.

Required skills

• Resuscitation and IV cannulation.
• Strong communication, clinical assessment and teamwork skills.

What we offer

• $73 per hour basic rate for ordinary rostered hours, up to $246 per hour on eligible shifts or overtime.
• Higher pay for weekday afternoons, weeknights, weekends and public holidays, with applicable penalties.

• Referral and contract completion bonuses, and a qualification allowance of +3.5% where applicable.
