Registered Nurse – Dementia Specialist (Part Time)

About the role

HammondCare Scone is looking for an experienced permanent part-time Registered Nurse to join its residential team. Known within HammondCare as a Specialised Dementia Advisor, the nurse works with the home's management and the carers to provide tailored, individualised care for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and support the care delivery by the care staff
• Educate and mentor in clinical areas and processes
• Take a consultative approach to case management and clinical decision making
• Provide clinical oversight and demonstrate professional competence as a Registered Nurse
• Implement and support a resident comfort focus

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration, ideally with 2-3 years' experience in aged care
• Knowledge and experience of people living with dementia and their needs
• Flexibility to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends
• Ability to work independently while valuing teamwork
• Genuine passion for serving elderly people

Required skills

• Strong administrative and computer skills
• AHPRA registration
