Registered and Enrolled Nurses – Day of Surgery (DOSA)

About the role

Epworth HealthCare is seeking experienced Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to join the Day Surgery (DOSA) team in Richmond. The role involves rotating across admissions, the holding bay, and second stage recovery within a fast‑paced peri‑operative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure patient and staff safety throughout the surgical journey and recovery.
• Provide advanced decision‑making, interpersonal and communication support to patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver individualized, patient‑centred care with a strong focus on family involvement.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
• Demonstrated clinical skill in a similar acute surgical setting.
• Ability to work a rotating roster of AM/PM shifts (no night duty) and on‑call duty for the holding bay on Sundays and public holidays.

Required skills

• Clinical competence in admissions and discharges within an acute surgical area.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
