Regional Director – Business & Private Banking

About the role

The Regional Director leads a team of bankers delivering relationship banking solutions that drive superior customer outcomes and quality growth across Victoria and Tasmania. This senior position is responsible for financial performance, transformation initiatives and customer‑centric culture within the Business & Private Banking division.

Key responsibilities

• Own the financial performance of the regional team, including revenue, cost management and portfolio outcomes.
• Drive transformation and whole‑of‑wallet solutions to improve both customer and banker experience.
• Lead customer acquisition and retention strategies in partnership with ANZ leaders.
• Develop and coach high‑performance sales teams, fostering collaboration across SME and Business & Private Banking.
• Ensure industry knowledge and training are disseminated to generalist bankers.

Required profile

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate market trends into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills to develop people and build high‑performing teams.
• Proven experience in business development, sales leadership and change management.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage resources to deliver results.
• Customer‑first mindset with analytical thinking and understanding of regulatory environment.
