Recruitment Officer

About the role

The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking a Recruitment Officer to join the People and Culture Division in Canberra. The role contributes to the delivery of recruitment services, working with colleagues and stakeholders so that hiring managers and candidates have a smooth and professional experience. It is classified as ANU Officer 5 (Administration).

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day recruitment advice and support.
• Apply knowledge of policies and procedures to guide decision-making and ensure compliance.
• Work with Divisions and Schools, building effective relationships and helping deliver consistent recruitment outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience in recruitment or broader HR administration.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Adaptability, a customer-focused approach and the ability to interpret and apply policy.
• Rights to live and work in Australia; mandatory pre-employment declarations and background checks apply.

Required skills

• Experience with HR and recruitment systems is beneficial, ideally PeopleSoft and PageUp.

What we offer

• Salary package of $89,760 - $97,918 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
• One full-time continuing position and one fixed-term position until April 2027.
